National Park Service police began slowly dismantling the Occupy DC encampment. Not in my backyard! Right?

Whats going on? Will the President ignore this in his backyard? We all know something needs to change! When will the long term strategy for change have as special a place in our heart as protesting our right to protest? We are all caught in the conflict and I hope we all get out of it. My heart goes out to all the families affected by this event in our Nations Capital yesterday. Thank you to RTAmerica for posting this video on February 4, 2012.

When Obama was elected, he was saying through his staff that if the people organize to hold him accountable, that if our communities do our part and make our voices heard, then he will listen to us. He challenged us to organize, to mobilize, and to speak up. So here we are Mr. President. What now?
